In my many years in business and in writing or broadcasting stories, time and again I found rich people who were poor, meaning their money had not brought them love and happiness.
Instead, they were determined to make more money and have more acclaim in the false notion that they would then be happy. In some cases, they even harmed others to get what they wanted, yet they were still not happy, only more miserable.
While some of the happiest people I came across were those who either donated much of their fortune to help others in need or like most people, never had a fortune in the first place, but had the love and devotion of family and friends.
As you assess what really matters to you in your life, don't be jealous of people with a lot of money. You're only seeing the superficial side of their lives, for you have no idea of the problems that confront them nor the basis for their life's journey.
Instead, seek love by offering it, seek clarity through truth and seek spiritual growth with inner exploration and with compassion for others. Give instead of taking and live a life of gratitude for all the wonderful things you have.
Money will never buy you sustained happiness but having love for, forgiveness of and a spiritual connection with all of mankind, will.

Within you burns a divine light, one with the power to light the souls and
warm the hearts of everyone around you, if only you will let that light
shine....
